LONGING

Longing is a capsule menswear collection that explores the story of a young man yearning to return home from war, counting down the days until he can reunite with his loved ones. Inspired by accounts of Korean soldiers separated from their families during the Korean War (25 June 1950 – 27 July 1953), the collection reflects on themes of distance, uncertainty, and the enduring hope of return.

Drawing from the colours and details of military uniforms, the collection reinterprets military dress through tailoring and print. A screen print derived from the blueprint of a military base serves as a tribute to the Korean soldiers who fought in the war, while also symbolising the places they temporarily called home.

Through these elements, Longing reflects on the memories and relationships that sustain us through periods of separation, exploring the universal desire to return home.
